Too Far (Anyone)

Gabriella pushed her boyfriend hard the other way as he lunged for a Death Eater. Isaac was out of control, he couldn't fight like this. A curse flew past Gabriella's left ear and she turned on the person. The Death Eaters began to run and Gabriella chased them, tripping them from behind and dodging their spells. Then she jumped in front of them and...

"NO!" Isaac yelled, one of them had pointed their wands right at Gabriella. He knocked the person's arm out of the way, so the curse hit a tree instead. A sickening crack followed, accompanied by a shriek of pain. "Don't you hurt her!" Isaac snarled, grabbing the Death Eater and slamming him against a tree. "Don't you EVER point a wand in her direction again!" Being almost insane, and the Death Eater's frantic heart made him smell so good... Isaac slashed open the man's throat with his teeth. He screamed, but fell limp, stone dead.

Gabriella was distracted from the other Death Eaters by Isaac's outrage. She gasped in surprise as he ruthlessly killed a Death Eater. A curse hit her full force in the stomach and she flew back into a tree. The Death Eaters charged, but Gabriella was already standing again. Her head spun, but it didn't stop her from sliding underneath their legs, causing them all to fall sharply to the ground.

Isaac's black eyes flashed dangerously. Without any hesitation, he tackled the Death Eater that had hit Gabriella with the spell. He put his hands in front of his masked face. "Don't kill me!" He pleaded. Too late. Isaac used a fist and drove it into the man's head. It crunched beneath the force. Isaac got up, not caring that he was brutally murdering these people. They all deserved to die.

All the other Death Eaters were laying on the forest floor, completely knocked out...except for one of them. He was standing up, facing Gabriella. Sit, you're dizzy, came the voice in her head. Oh crap, it was him, the vampire again. Gabriella sat with a slight hesitation as she tried to resist.

Isaac noticed Gabriella sitting down, what the hell was that about. Never mind that, there was still one Death Eater left. This one was different. He was a vampire too. But Isaac was a newborn, he was strong, stronger than the older ones. He lunged. Not so fast, said a voice in his head. You sit, too. Isaac fought it, but it was almost as if giant invisible hands were bending his legs, forcing him to sit. He kept fighting, it was so hard, he was a few inches from the ground...

Shit, Gabriella thought, biting her lip. Isaac had been Turned by the same vampire as her. Now they were both doomed. She glanced over at him, hoping they would be able to break it somehow. Hmm, now what? came the icy voice in her head. I know! Kill him! Gabriella eyes widened as she tried to resist. But now she was standing up, coming closer to Isaac, each step getting closer as she tried to pull back.

Isaac emitted a loud noise of frustration. He was fighting, but he was getting closer and closer to the ground. Gabriella was coming close to him... "NO!" Isaac yelled. He stood up, no longer feeling the pull of the other vampire's command. He placed a hand on each of Gabriella's shoulders. "No, Gabriella, fight it. Fight him." Isaac whispered. "You can do it, I know you can."

Gabriella's eyes flashed between black and burghandy, a color they had not been for a long time. She could feel the sharp pull of the command to kill him, but she wouldn't, couldn't let herself do it. Spasms of pain shook her. The other vampire was fighting harder with her, he had given up Isaac. Gabriella was screaming, she no longer held control.

Isaac looked into Gabriella's flashing eyes, he knew that she could beat him, she just had to fight. And fight hard. He wasn't giving up on her either. "You can do it, Gabriella. Don't let this scum control you. You're above him, all you have to do is break free." said Isaac.

Gabriella saw his lips moving, but all she could no longer hear anything. She was unaware of her own screams. She felt nothing, except the searing pain in her head. Surely her head would explode into a million pieces. Yet, moment after moment, things were staying the same. Kill him now! yelled the sharp voice in her head. Another spasm of pain. Gabriella couldn't see anymore. Her only thoughts were to make it stop and to kill Isaac. She was incapable of doing either. Her hands flew up to her head, scratching at her face, desperately attempting to make the pain stop. All that resulted was a long gash in her cheek, that would take days to fully heal.

In the distance she could hear laughing, but in her head she heard the voice repeatedly saying the command. Each time she head it, her hands flew toward Isaac before she sharply reeled them back. KILL HIM! the voice said one last time. "NO!" Gabriella screamed, out loud. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" As suddenly as it had started, the pain was gone. There was nothing to see but blurred trees as Gabriella fell to the ground. She didn't even hear the other vampire mutter, "Damn."

"Gabriella!" Isaac yelled in alarm. He caught her before she hit the ground. Supporting her was nothing now, he didn't even realize all her weight was in his arms, it was nothing more than holding a kitten. Isaac picked her up bridal-style, then began to walk away. "Gabby, can you hear me?" Isaac whispered as he began to run.

No, Gabriella couldn't hear him, but now that she was in an almost dream-like state, that didn't really bother her. She wasn't really asleep, or even actually unconscious. Gabriella was simply unaware of everything around her. At least she had beaten the vampire. He couldn't come in her head again.

Isaac stopped by the lake. He gently laid Gabriella in the sand, panicking. He didn't know healing very well, so he was unsure of what to do. He took a handful of water and gently splashed it onto Gabriella's face. "Gabs, Gabby, GABRIELLA!" Isaac said anxiously. Don't die, please don't die. Isaac thought over and over again.

Gabriella didn't react. Her mind didn't even process that the cold water was being splashed on her face. She still remained her her state, seeing nothing, hearing nothing, feeling nothing. She didn't smell blood for the moment either. Yet, she was still alive.
