"Well nobody wants it," Angel said with a frown, putting her hands on the table. "But we'll have to face the inevitable. The ministry is putting a band-aid on a hemorrhage, I can't stand it, this makes me sick."

Jenna nodded firmly, her food long forgotten. "I can't believe they're doing this again," she said. "Didn't they learn from last time?" Jenna noticed the look on Angel's face, she looked truly angry, something Jenna wasn't used to seeing. "Would you like leave, Angie?" Jenna asked.

"Yeah, I can't stand looking at this all." Angel said, then grabbed a slice of toast, if she got hungry. She doubted this would happen, but just in case. "Shall we take a walk by the lake?" Angel suggested as she got up from her seat.

Jenna shrugged. "Sure, that sounds good to me," she replied, coming up from her seat. The gap in their heights was now completely apparant, Jenna was more than a foot shorter than Angel. I really ought to get some heels, she thought to herself as they began to walk away.

Angel flicked her wand in direction of the doors, she never bothered with opening them manually. They were very heavy and it took a lot of her strength to crack one open wide enough for her to get through. Angel stepped onto the steps, the cold air bit at her exposed skin. Angel didn't care.

Jenna shivered a bit, but wasn't bothered too much by the cold breeze. It was actually pleasant outside despite the cold. Jenna started walking down the steps, taking a glance behind her to make sure Angel was following her.

Angel caught up quickly, taking long strides. Jenna had short legs because of her petite frame, it was easy to keep up with her. She took a bite of the toast she had brought along. It didn't settle too well with her. She threw it into lake.

Jenna bit her lip as Angel threw her food into the cold waters. She had never seen Angel be wasteful before, but there was a first time for everything, Jenna supposed. They continued to walk, the sounds of silence filling the chilly air. Jenna had nothing to say.

Angel was silent as well, she too found herself at a loss for words. There wasn't a phrase anywhere that could convey the deep anguish and angst embedded in her head. She watched as a tentacle reached out of the frigid water and pull the slice of toast below the cold surface. At least the squid will eat breakfast today. Angel thought.

Jenna's eyebrows raised in shock as the squid took Angel's food. Under a normal circumstance she would've laughed, but this was far from a normal circumstance. Jenna could hear the anger coming from Angel's head and decided it would be better if they didn't talk about it for now. So they continued to walk along the beach.

She stuck her hands in her pockets, feeling her feet sink into the sand along the beach. If it were warm out, Angel would have removed her socks and shoes to walk barefoot, enjoying the sensation of the sand squishing between her toes. But of course, things were no longer the same. Angel felt that they probably never would be.
