Isaac was slightly buzzed, he had confunded the owner of the Hog's Head into giving him an entire barrel of rum as if it were a normal thing for a customer to ask for. But he was still annoyingly close to sober, he just found that his senses were only slightly dulled, but they were still pretty sensitive. As he ambled down the street the sound of crying met his ears, it was Jenna. Isaac approached cautiously, taking a deep breath. She smelled differently, and that sound... Isaac had only ever experienced that before twice, and that was when Angel and Safira were pregnant. "What happened?" Isaac asked his friend quietly.

Jenna inhaled deeply to steady herself. She looked up at Isaac and found that she didn't even mind that he was Luke's best friend. At least he was someone to talk to. "Luke and I broke up," Jenna said miserably. She left out the part about being pregnant and not telling him, though she figured that Isaac could tell.

Isaac knew better than to ask for details, but figured that they must have had some sort of a row, even if it seemed off to him (or perhaps it was just the light influence of alcohol on his brain). Engagements broke a bit more frequently than one might imagine, but still, they had been inches away from being newlyweds. "Want me to go knock some sense into him?" Isaac asked, it was in a joking manner, even if Luke was his best friend he was not going to hesitate to give him a stern conversation.

Jenna shook her head quickly, the last thing she wanted was for Luke to come back because Isaac had talked him into it. Things would just be worse that way. "No, please don't," she replied seriously. Jenna didn't quite know what to do just at that moment. She supposed she would figure it out, though. At least she had an apartment and a job and could support a baby on her own. Yes, it would work out. Well, she hoped so.

Isaac nodded, then for the first time realized how strongly he must smell of alcohol, he had had enough to get eight humans rather drunk, but his buzz was already fading. Perhaps more? Maybe he would just charm a bottle to magically refill itself whenever it was empty. "Well, just know that if you need any assistance, Gabby and I are here, just let us know if you need anything- okay?" said Isaac, he would be there for Jenna like he was for Angel.

Jenna nodded slowly, she didn't usually accept help from other people, even friends, but knew that Isaac was offering support more than anything else. She supposed that pregnancy made her smell funny. "Thanks Isaac," Jenna said, thinking about Angel. She was quite close with both Isaac and Gabriella, they had probably been the first to know that she was pregnant. Jenna thought vaguely that it came in handy to have a vampire friend.

Isaac nodded, looking down at Jenna because of her compact size. That ought to present some sort of complication during pregnancy, there wasn't a lot of room for a baby to develop in. But with magic things could be made easier, or at least Isaac thought there would be some sort of spell or potion. "Come, you could do with a cup of tea," said Isaac, Madam Puddifoot's was closed, but the pubs of Hogsmeade also had tea.

Jenna nodded after a moment and pushed herself up from the ground. She wiped the tears off of her face for a moment. She was glad that Isaac had shown up, he seemed to know what to say and Jenna had the feeling that things were going to be alright. Sure, things would be different with a baby and potentially without Luke, but Jenna would be just fine. She was hopeful in that moment.

Isaac opened the door to the Hog's Head for Jenna, thinking it would be a bit more comfortable for them than the Three Broomsticks, which was a nighttime hot spot. The pub was pretty much entirely cleared out, except for a group of old wizards in the back, drinking brandy and discussing something in quiet voices. Isaac of course could pick out every word, but he wasn't paying them any attention. "Some tea for her and a vodka for me," Isaac said to the bartender, and then pulled out a chair for Jenna from the table as far away from the old wizards as they could get.

Jenna was glad that Isaac had ordered for her, she was suddenly feeling very tired. She gratefully took the seat that Isaac had pulled out for her and then scooted herself a bit closer to the table. "Thanks," Jenna said to Isaac. The drinks soon arrived and Jenna began to stir her tea absently, waiting for it to be a bit cooler.

Isaac nodded, he wondered what in the world could have happened between Luke and Jenna to make them split. It was almost as incredulous when Wolfgang and Angie had split back in February, unless... He took a quick sip of vodka, relishing the sting as it slid down his throat. "Does he, um, know about, you know." said Isaac, hoping that Jenna was at least aware of her pregnancy. If Luke left because of that... Isaac might have to kill him.

Jenna shook her head slowly. Of course Isaac knew, she had expected nothing less. "No, I hadn't gotten around to telling him yet," Jenna replied. She stirred her tea a couple more times before finally taking a sip. It was only a small one, because the tea was still hot, but Jenna felt better after drinking it.

Isaac nodded, at least it was something else that had caused them to split, and he had not heard the usual cues of lying from Jenna. So he would not be charged with murder just yet, which was always a good thing. Isaac took a small sip of his drink. "Are you hungry at all?" Isaac asked quietly, making sure to comply with the needs of humans, particularly ones that were pregnant.

Jenna shook her head, she didn't have very much of an appetite at the moment, she was still fairly upset. Plus, most kinds of food didn't really appeal to her right then. Jenna supposed it was because she was pregnant, but she certainly hoped that she found something good to eat soon, all she had been eating recently was yogurt.

Isaac nodded, and then took a long sip of his vodka, draining half the glass. He loved the bitterness of it all, he was a bit of a drink enthusiast, but nowhere near being a drunk. "Let me know if you want anything, then," said Isaac. He really wasn't sure what else he was supposed to do, when he had come across Angel after Wolfgang had broken up with her by letter she was sobbing uncontrollably, Jenna seemed a bit more composed.
