"Have you forgotten the words?" asked Isabelle, standing over Raychel, looking down at her. She could smell the blood that was oozing from Raychel's damaged organs. She wanted it so badly, but she had to learn patience. Isabelle lowered herself to be by the girl's ear once more. "It will all be over once you say the words. Just two words." Isabelle whispered quietly.

Raychel's voice was lost. Her mouth fished for the words that would end her pain. But those words were forever lost. Oh, how she wished Isabelle would get on with it, with her. Raychel's breath was short, she was going to die. That much was certain. The only thing that would possible save her was if Isabelle decided to Turn her, but that was unlikely. Raychel yet again tried to speak, to no avail. All that came out was a mangled, choked-off rasp.

Isabelle listened, but even her keen hearing couldn't decipher any words. She sifted through the girl's mind. Yes, she wanted to die. A twisted grin spread across her lips. "This shouldn't hurt, much." said Isabelle, and then got down on her knees. She sank her fangs into Raychel's neck, drinking deeply. All control was gone... She pulled herself from the blood remembering what she wanted to do. Isabelle pulled a vial from her robe, and filled it with Raychel's blood. She forced in the stopper, and then resumed drinking.

As soon as the cold lips met her neck, and the fangs pierced her skin, she began screaming. There was an unnatural fire running through her veins, a icyness creeping into her veins. Her skin was loosing all feeling, and her stomach was running dry. If she had her arms mobile, she would have been clawing at Isabelle with all of her might. Finally, her mouth was working. "Please" was mixed in with shouts of terror.

Isabelle laughed as she drank, she purposely went slowly, so Raychel could feel the pain of her venom, the queasiness of being deprived of blood. If she left now, there would be about a ninety percent chance that Raychel would die, it was too great a risk, she didn't want to take it. But if Raychel became one of her kind, she would be able to exercise control over her without any magic...

Raychel shrieked in agony, but she was loosing energy. Even though Isabelle was going ever so slowly, the energy it took to remain conscious was emmense. Raychel felt her flesh go from hot to cold withing seconds. She had always read about the Turning process, but she never imagined how painful it truly was.

Isabelle finally pulled away, there was a very small chance of Raychel surviving the turning process with how much blood she had extracted, as a good amount was needed to keep the venom pumping to heal wounds, stop systems, et cetera. But she kept in the back of her mind that she would have a servant unable to fight her if Raychel did manage to survive. "I'll meet you in hell," said Isabelle, she laughed evilly and then vanished.

Raychel's head slumped against the tre as she hissed in pain. The venom was like fire, burning her whole body. Her temperature had risen and fallen rapidly, and a sweat had broken out. She shakily, nonverbalily, called her wand to her. It appeared in her hand, but it immediately fell. Raychel was helpless as she fell into an unconcious state,

Yes, Zelphar was breaking a rule, but he was prefect, and quite at liberty to stroll the grounds after curfew. When the screaming met his ears, he began making his way toward the noise. When he stumbled across the clearing there was blood spattered everywhere, and a girl, her body mangled, it looked as if every bone in her body had been broken. Zelphar used his wand to make splints to immobilize the severe injures, and used yet another charm to put the girl on a stretcher that floated alongside him. He checked for a pulse, there was one, but it was faint. Zelphar sprinted back to the castle, the stretcher speeding alongside him. Once inside, he began making loud noises, he would wake the whole castle to save this girl from death.

Raychel, unconscious, felt like she was on fire. Every inch of her body was hot, and burning. She wanted to die, but somehow, she knew she could survive. She was rudely arroused awake by shouting, and screaming. She opened her eyes, to find she had control of her hands once more. She gripped the sides of the stretcher, floating next to a young prefect. Raychel knew enough that, if she were to survive, she would need blood, to help the venom flow, to heal. Briefly, she prayed she had enough.

Had all the teachers disappeared or something? Zelphar was beginning to feel anxious. He quickly made his way to the infirmary, even if there wasn't a nurse, being purposefully loud all the way there. Once inside, Zelphar transferred the girl to a bed, and noticing that her eyes were open, felt a rush of relief. Not an expert in healing, he knew that he could only fix minor fractures, but the more major ones would require experienced hands. Zelphar healed the girl's fingers and wrists, but wouldn't be able to do anything about her limbs and ribs.

Raychel felt her fingers and wrists pop back into place. She couldn't help but sigh deeply, but it was quiet, muffled. She clenched and unclenched her hands repeatedly, but slowly. It hurt, hurt oh so badly. Suddenly, her arms began to pulsate, burn brighter. She gripped the bed, screaming in agony, but all at once the pain was gone. She found her arms were mobile again. It must have been a couple of hours that her arms had healed. Surely she couldn't be healing so fast. Maybe she had enough blood in her after all... Raychel had little time to think as her stomach turned to flames. She screamed once more clawing at the bed.

Zelphar didn't know what to do, he looked around, as if expecting some sort of divine inspiration to be there waiting for him to lay eyes upon. Of course, there wasn't. He threw open the doors to the medicine cabinet and began sifting through bottles and bottles of potions and things, but Zelphar didn't want to give the girl anything, since he didn't have the faintest idea as to what was wrong with her.

Raychel dipped in and out of conciousness for what felt like an eternity. In truth, it was probably only a few minutes, with a few hours thrown together. Time had blurred together, and she could do nothing about it. She surfaced once more and she found the pain of her broken legs had vanished, that they were usable once more. Raychel's hands occasionally flew to her neck, and, each time, the pair of identical bite marks were still burning. Finally, she surfaced for the last time. The sun was now dimmly shining through the windows overhead. "How long has it been." She whispered, just loud enough for anyone around to hear.

Zelphar whipped around, he looked terribly haggard, his longish hair messed up and dark circles under his pale blue eyes from a night without sleep. About three dozen different books were opened on the floor, but Zelphar had been unable to find anything that matched the girl's curious condition. His eyes noted the clock. "'Bout nine hours," said Zelphar tiredly. "How do you feel?"
