Gabriella felt completely at ease in his arms once more. They could work through anything, they were perfect for each other. Gabriella couldn't be happier with anyone else. She slowly let go of Isaac. "Goodnight," Gabriella said, sliding back behind the portrait.

[malfoy]

"Goodnight, my love." Isaac said seconds before the portrait closed. He could leave in good conscience now. He didn't want to bid her goodnight while they were still angry. He gave a small smile and began to walk down the corridor, pondering what other pranks he could pull off before morning.

Gabriella climbed back into the common room, sitting down on the coach once more and letting her whole body relax as she stared into the flames in front of her. She was very glad that she and Isaac had made up, but she couldn't quite shake the feeling that he had some sort of surprise for her, be it good or bad.

Isaac placed a few vanishing tiles on the floor on his way to the owlery. He liked to spend evenings there, the owls were good company. But today, he wanted to try something. Jumping out of the window. He quickly made his way to the tower and looked out the glass-lacking window. It was a long way down. Isaac sat on the sill, then without a second of hesitation, pushed himself off. He was falling, the wind rushing through his hair... He landed lightly on his feet, like a cat. That had been strange.

Briefly, Gabriella had noticed a flash by her window. She rushed over and looked down, only to see Isaac landing softly on the ground. Gabriella put her hand over her mouth to restrain her fit of laughter. That had been quite impressive, actually.

Isaac could have laughed, that had been a lot of fun. If it weren't for all the muggles that would see, he would run to Mt. Everest, climb to the top and jump off that too. He was tempted to do it again, but instead, walked with his slight limp over to the lake. He was going to go swimming again. He should buy a swimsuit. Isaac stripped down to her boxers again and swam out into the middle of the lake, then dove. He was going to touch the bottom.

Gabriella missed swimming suddenly as she watched her boyfriend dive to the bottom of the lake. If it hadn't been for their little fight, she would probably still be out there, letting the day's hard work evaporate from her mind and she swam around in the mind-numbing waters of the Black Lake. But now she was here, and far too tired to go back down.

Isaac propelled himself downward, without the need to breathe, he could hide down there to skip class or something. The water wasn't the cleanest, but now as a vampire, Isaac could see everything. He snatched up an oyster, remembering how much he used to like eating them. He pulled it open without any trouble, and a slightly pink tinted pearl fell out. Isaac grinned as he picked it out of the sand. He would think of something to do with it for Gabriella.

It was times like these when Gabriella desperately wished she could sleep, and also when she thought about two of her cousins the most. Angel and Jenna were probably still up, finishing the last of their homework. Gabriella grabbed her books from her dorm and spread out on the couch, finishing her homework quickly. She hardly did any of it during the day because she would have all night to finish anything she needed to.

Maybe if he could find another one just like it, he could have them made into a pair of earrings. Isaac held the pearl gently between two fingers, he didn't want to crush it by mistake. It was strange how strong he was now. It took getting used to. He cracked open another oyster. The pearl didn't have the same pinkish hue to it. No matter, Isaac had all night to find a match.

Gabriella shut her last book a little while later and peered out the window to see Isaac diving into the lake, his motions fluid and silent. Gabriella smiled to herself and packed up her things. She would have to go hunting tomorrow so she could run around again.

Isaac gathered around a few oysters, then sat down on a large rock beneath the surface. It was smooth from having the water beat against it for so many years, eroding away the rough exterior. He scratched the back of his head, then cracked open another oyster.

[This isn't really going anywhere on my end...any suggestions?]
