Gabriella chuckled at the last part, doodling time, of course. If she was human, she would've blushed at the brightest witch part of Emily's speech, but she was a vampire, so she didn't. "Thanks for that, Em," Gabriella said, feeling more perked up now.

Emily gave her older sister a playful shove, but not refraining any physical force, because she knew that Gabriella would be perfectly capable of handling it. "You don't have to thank me because you know that it's true." Emily insisted.

Gabriella gently shoved her sister back, refraining most of her force. "Well, there are some smart Ravenclaws, like out cousin Jenna," Gabriella pointed out with a small smile. It was nice to know that Emily thought she was best.

"So?" said Emily. "You got all O's on your O.W.L. exams, didn't you?" She was anxious, she had to take the dreaded exams this year, get a one year respite and then go on to N.E.W.T.s. Ick. Gabriella had to take those this term...

Gabriella rolled her eyes a bit and then nodded. Yes, she had gotten all O's, despite her constant fretting that she would fail something. And now she would have to take a bunch of N.E.W.T. tests this term. "Well, yes, but I couldn't have been the only one, right?" Gabriella asked. She had never really known exactly how the testing was scored.

"Oh please," said Emily. "Half my teachers have told me I would be lucky to scrape by with an A, it's hard to get an Outstanding, not even half the Ravenclaws get all O's, except for Angie, I guess." And it wasn't like Emily didn't have any brains, she just wasn't the smartest when it came to school. She was street-smart.

Gabriella shrugged. "Well, I suppose so," she replied, becoming a bit worried about Emily now. If she didn't get E's she wouldn't be able to become an Auror. Gabriella decided that she could help her sister study for her exams. "You know, you can always come to me if you need help with your work or somehting," Gabriella offered.

"That's kind of you," said Emily. Gabriella was so nice. She would need all the help she could get if she was going to get high enough grades on her O.W.L.s to continue on her path to becoming an Auror. But she was partly convinced it was her teachers, they all hated her, except for Cici.

Gabriella smiled in return. "Well you know I'm always happy to help, especially when it comes to schoolwork," Gabriella replied. Gabriella was constantly compared to her mother, and she was starting to see the resemblance herself. They were a lot alike.

"Okay "mum," my weak spot is Transfiguration, I think I'll do fine on everything else." said Emily. "Last term my turtle had a willow-patterned shell and breathed steam. It was a nightmare, the only time mum got mad at me, really." Emily hated Transfiguration, it was her weak spot, but she needed it if she were to become an Auror.

Gabriella chuckled softly, imagining the turtle. "Well I can certainly help you with that," she replied happily. "And you could always talk to Professor Copper for extra help if I was busy...but that's not usually a problem." Gabriella liked Professor Copper, she was one of the better teachers at Hogwarts, still Cici was the best.

Emily doubted this, she was sure that Professor Copper hated her too. Perhaps it was just in her head, everyone else seemed to like her. Whatever. Maybe it was just her bold as brass personality. "I suppose," said Emily, scratching her head at the top of her neck.

Gabriella was getting the impression that Emily didn't like many of her teachers. Gabriella mentally shrugged, thinking about the Hogwarts staff. True, there were a few bad ones, but most of the new ones were good teachers. "Well I'm sure we can get you at least an E," Gabriella replied, smiling.

"Yeah, as long as I don't have to turn a tea pot into a turtle." Emily said with a small, sly grin. Transfiguration was awful, but she would have to use it a ton if she were to become an Auror. Perhaps she would look into alternative career paths.

Gabriella chuckled a bit at Emily's comment. It was good to hear her sister's sense of humor, it was a bit rare at times. "Yes, well, I'm sure we can fix that too," Gabriella replied, a soft smile on her face.
