Gabriella shrugged. Sure the Daily Prophet did a better job, but they didn't have some of the facts like the French did. It helped to actually be in France when reporting on subjects happening in France. The Prophet hadn't even mentioned the girl's losses. "I suppose," Gabriella replied, with a small smile.

"Don't suppose about these things Gabriella," Emily said teasingly, shaking her head slowly. "You always make everyone around look like a slacker, be proud of it." Her mind began to wander a bit, she was thinking of what the heck she was going to do with her life, she was close to failing Transfiguration and Potions... Maybe something involving Quidditch.

"Slackers, huh?" Gabriella replied with a sly smile. "That's only because I have massive amounts of time when they're all sleeping." Gabriella noticed the look in Emily's eyes just then. It was the one asking herself what she was going to do with her life. Gabriella knew it was a lot harder for Emily in school, particularly in Transfiguration and Potions.

"Yeah, lucky duck," said Emily, tone teasing. She was sure there were many downsides to being a vampire, although at some times it was hard to find out what they were. Drinking blood had to be awful. Emily conjured a vine from her palm and began to manipulate it to form different shapes, just a random habit of hers.

Gabriella crinkled her nose slightly at the thought of a vampire being lucky. Yeah, that was a good one. "If only you knew," Gabriella replied. Night continued to get more and more boring, but at least she had been running into Isaac more frequently. That made being a vampire a bit more fun.

"I was only teasing," said Emily, using the existing vine to make an outline of Gabriella, and then another to make an outline of Isaac. "But of course, it gives you more time to be with Isaac." She then made the two vine-figures join hands and look romantically at each other.

Gabriella chuckled at the two vine-figures Emily was using to depict her with Isaac. "Yes, that is a very valid point," Gabriella replied, now thinking about what she would do that night. Probably go swimming or hunting if she suddenly felt thirsty.

Emily chuckled, then the vine-outlines of Gabriella and Isaac blended into a blob, which then contorted itself into a miniature replica of the Eiffel Tower, then Big Ben. It was fun messing around with her oddball power. Her parents had gotten into a pretty big quarrel when they first found out about her ability. Ron had thought that she had an affair. But Hermione was smart, and able to explain that sometimes powers like Emily's weren't genetic at all. "I wonder what Dad would do if he found out you were dating Isaac again," said Emily. "No wait, he'd probably explode."

Gabriella burst out laughing, but it was slightly held back since this was a very real scare to her. Worse was Isaac's dad, but he was locked up in Azkaban for the next five years. "No, he'd kill me, then kick me out," Gabriella replied. "But only if he could kill me."

Emily chuckled appreciatively, having a sudden mental image of her dad's long feet on the ground, smoking at the top and the rest of his body blown to oblivion. "Things between you and Isaac are getting pretty serious now, aren't they?" said Emily, suddenly changing the topic.

Gabriella shrugged a bit, knowing she would be blushing if she weren't a vampire. "Yeah, I guess so," Gabriella replied, unsure of exactly where Emily was going with this one. "But what are you getting at?" Gabriella raised her eyebrows at her sister now.

"I'm not "getting at" anything," said Emily. "It was just a question." She began to play with vines she conjured from her palms, twisting them together to make new forms. It was fun for her, and it helped her to think. Emily slowly began to build a miniature version of Hogwarts, springing up more and more vines as she needed them.

Gabriella smiled as she watched a tiny version of Hogwarts being built right in front of her, with vines of all things. "That's a pretty cool gift you've got going there," Gabriella commented as more and more vines came to Emily, exactly when she needed them.
