Changes (Gabby)

Gabriella smiled at her; somehow she had known that Angel would like that. "Well, I guess I will go all the way over there and talk to him tomorrow," she said. "If I have time, that is." I hope he understands, Gabriella thought.

Angel smiled even more widely, knowing that the words "If I have time, that is," almost definitely meant "yes". That was just some sort of excuse. "Thanks." Angel said. This meant a lot to her, more than she could express through words...

Gabriella's smile softened quite nicely as she spoke again, "Anytime Ang. You know I'd do anything for a best friend." Gabriella knew it probably sounded cheesy, but it was completely the truth. She would do pretty much anything for Angel, or any of her other close friends.

That was kind of cheesy, Angel had to admit. But otherwise, it was very touching. Of course, Angel would go as far as taking a bullet for a friend, just as Gabriella would. She threw her arms around her cousin and hugged her. "This means a lot." she whispered.

Gabriella hugged her back, smiling. They both knew that the other would do anything for them, and it was quite a good thing to know. "I know it does," Gabriella said softly as she let go of Angel. At this point Gabriella was sincerely hoping that Isaac would be her friend.

"Oh! I know what we can do today!" said Angel, changing the subject. She steadied herself on the branch, she didn't like sitting up here very much... "Why don't we go down to Fortiscue's?" Angel suggested. She was craving some ice cream herself...

Gabriella smiled a bit. She didn't eat much- nothing had quite the flavor she craved- but she would go with Angel. "Sure Ang," she replied. "Ice cream it is." With the same inhuman strength and speed, Gabriella jumped down from the tree.

Then what Gabriella was came flooding back to Angel. She climbed down the tree much more slowly than her cousin was able to. Sometimes she was jealous of that inhuman speed and strength... But Angel was already enough of a freak. "Oh! We could go to Hogsmeade instead." said Angel, implying that Gabriella could get some more lollipops.

"Nah, I want you to have ice cream," Gabriella replied easily. "Plus I don't need any more candy from Hogsmeade. I go there just about everyday, remember?" Gabriella smiled, thinking of her job at Zonko's. Life was never boring there, that was for sure.

"Alright." said Angel, and then began to walk back to her house, Gabriella beside her. If only she could apparate, then she could be there in seconds... Thankfully, Gabriella was patient with her not being of age yet. Only until February... Angel thought as she pulled her car keys from her pocket and unlocked the teal mini-van.

Gabriella sighed slightly at the sight of the car. Angel would only drive the speed limit, and it would take ages to get there. "Can I drive?" she asked, a small smile on her face. Her fast reflects allowed her to drive faster, and kept her less worried.

Angel frowned. She knew Gabriella to be a bit... Lax about certain rules. Although they were muggle laws, they still should obey them. Her parents wouldn't be too happy if she came home with a speeding ticket. Angel rolled her eyes. "Alright, but I'm serious, no more then five kilometers per hour than the posted sign." Angel said, tossing the keys to her cousin.

"Fine," Gabriella said, catching the flying keys easily as she opened the door and jumped into the car. She started the ignition. Slowly, at least for her, Gabriella looked to see if Angel was in the car yet before she backed out.

Angel just got into the car after the engine was humming lightly. She hurriedly buckled her seat belt, already feeling nervous. It wasn't so much that Gabriella was a bad driver, she just went so fast... It scared her. "Alright, I mean no more than five kilometers." Angel repeated.

"Yes, yes," replied Gabriella impatiently. "Like I'd get caught even if I did speed," she muttered under her breath. An extremely fast glance in the mirror and Gabriella began to back out. Soon, they were on the road, driving slower than Gabriella would've liked, but still about two kilometers above the speed limit.
