Changes (Gabby)

Gabriella's stomach churned a bit. She hated it down here, she felt trapped inside the tiny car. She stared out the window at a cement wall. It was hard to believe that Angel went down her so often, it was terrifying.

"Relax, it's just a tram." Angel said, laying a comforting hand on Gabriella's shoulder. Angel could feel the ice-cold of her cousin's skin through the shirt that she wore. It was like touching a solid ghost. The ride was not long, and the female pre-recorded voice announced thestop. "That's us." Angel said, getting up.

Gabriella got out of the tram, relieved to be free of its confinement. She still wasn't breathing, though to anyone else it would look like she was. "Where's the exit?" Gabriella asked, her voice just above a whisper.

Angel smiled. Whenever she took family members to Diagon Alley through the muggle Underground, they always got so confused, it was funny. "This way." Angel said. The day was dismal, cloudy and gray. At least it wasn't raining. They emerged outside and Angel began to shove through the masses, she hated coming this way, but she couldn't apparate yet...

"I should've taken Apparated with you," Gabriella muttered as she weaved her way after Angel. Gabriella was still not breathing, though the fresh air would probably have done her some good. There were too many people to risk breathing just then, though.

At long last Angel pushed open the door to the dingy Leaky Cauldron. "You know that would not have worked, a ministry owl would be swooping down on our heads right this second. Some decree says that side-by-side Apparation is for emergencies only." she said as she pulled out her wand and tapped the appropriate brick on the wall.

Gabriella shrugged. "Well, we could've made it an emergency," Gabriella replied. "Like the underground makes me barf and so I had to take you by Apparation because I didn't want you to go down there alone." Gabriella stepped through the hole made by Angel's tapping of the bricks.

Angel gave a small laugh as the bricks seamlessly slid closed behind them. "Where to first, Gabs?" Angel asked. Since her cousin had to endure the Underground that she hated so badly, she figured that she would allow Gabriella to at least pick where they got to go.
