[prudence]

Prudence in the meantime dug into her sundae, relishing in the warm chocolate over the slowly melting ice cream. She did have to prevent herself from eating too quickly, however, as what she really wanted was the soupy concoction as the fudge and ice cream melted together. She had always preferred to eat her ice cream that way, even as a child. One of the few memories she had involving her mother was the two of them going to Fortiscue's and she had sat quietly, waiting for her ice cream to completely melt in the dish, rather than eat it while it was frozen. How her mother had laughed...

Prudence dipped her spoon into the small puddle of melted confection at the base of the sundae, wishing for not the first time that her mother were still around. The woman had been so kindhearted and gentle, she would have known what exactly to do for Prudence in this difficult time of her life.

Nix walked away from the kitchen and up the stairs that lead towards her common room but only a little, she didn't like being seen down in the kitchens because people always thought she would be causing some sort of trouble. She shook her head and then looked down at the pie she had covered over and then shook her head again ,"keep in control, dont eat the cake" she said in a small voice to herself before she dipped a hand inside her robes and then took out her wand and tapped it against her free fingertips to try and ease her boredom. She always felt odd at the moment because she didn't feel like she had anything to do, she couldn't play qudditch so she was doing all her homework early end then getting bored later on
